This is a fantastic opportunity to join Gi Group and work for our prestigious client, as we are recruiting for Production Operatives to work in the automotive industry at Vauxhall Motors Press Shop (Stellantis) in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Located just off junction 6/7 of the M53, Vauxhall Motors is a well-established car manufacturer in the area and is looking to expand its Stamping Unit.
Production Operative responsibilities:
- Off-load a variety of body panels from the Press Machine line into racks
- Visual and manual part inspection to look for Quality issues in the pressed panels
- Using crane to move dies into position on the line and moving steel coils into position (Full internal training will be provided)
- Preventative Maintenance - checking tools used on the line to make sure they are free from faults prior to production running
- Forklift truck driving - moving racks when full and replacing with empty racks with a variety of FLT trucks (full internal training will be provided)
- 5S activities to keep the area clean and tidy and free from hazards
Production Operative required skills:
- Good communication skills
- Working as part of a team
- Self-motivated and ability to learn new processes quickly
- FLT License would be an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and standardised work
- A high level of self-motivation and tenacity
Production Operative Shift:
- Various shift times available Monday to Sunday
