Oval Insights Ltd are looking for individuals with a passion for sport to join the team at the data collection centre in Leeds. The job will entail collecting performance data on top level rugby matches.
At our office we collect data on a wide range of tournaments played around the world, we are recruiting Rugby Data Collectors to join our team.
Working as part of a team you will collect the players events during live matches, for example the number of passes or tackles a player makes during a match. The team will collect all events during the game which forms the story of the match.
What makes a good data collector?
If you enjoy watching sport and have an interest in sports statistics
Basic knowledge of Rugby Union/League including the laws of the game, current teams and players, tactics and game plans, TV and digital media presentation of the sport, etc
Full training will be given to upskill your knowledge of the game, teams and players.
Basic keyboard skills
Ability to work and communicate as part of a team
Focus, perseverance, concentration and attention to detail.
We would especially like to hear from you if you have any of the following:
Coaching or refereeing qualifications in Rugby Union
Experience of sports video analysis software.

Weekend Availability
Within a commutable distance to Elland Road stadium.
Hours
24 hours per week – up to an additional 12 hours per week available between September – May
Fixed Term contract until 31/5/2025.
