About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed and friendly team and work alongside like-minded individuals to design and deliver cutting edge placement experiences for health profession student and support the NHS through health profession education and make a difference to patients’ care.
As a Lecturer in Practice Learning, you will significantly contribute to the recruitment, monitoring and quality assurance of placement learning opportunities across the undergraduate medical school programmes. You will work closely with providers to ensure high quality experiences for our student ensuring student are well supported within placements.
The post provides an opportunity to join the Edge Hill University Medical School at an exciting time in its development. You will be expected to contribute to scholarly activity or if you have a significant responsibility for research, to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the quantitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise in 2020.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience, with an established or promising support profile with experience working in and supporting students in healthcare settings. You will hold good teaching expertise at undergraduate level and preferably to health students, whilst also hold capability in providing excellent pastoral support.
To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team where good team work and flexibility is essential to the role.
It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure for you from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
