Summary
As a Performance Manager you will be a reliable, diligent, personable, and operationally experienced individual capable of leading the daily compliance function and operations of the third largest STW in the UK: Mogden STW.
The successful candidate will develop and implement an effective operational strategy the Day Operations team. They will be personable and will effortlessly be able to build relationships with their direct reports, the Mogden Catchment leadership team, and contractors alike.
This is a Monday to Friday role.
Base location will be Mogden, TW7 7LW.
What you will be doing as a Performance Manager
- Frontline Management responsibilities including, but not limited to, oversight of the safety culture of the team, scheduling and prioritisation of works, issuance of TWOSAs where applicable.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the Catchment Area Services Manager and Operational Impact Liaison on matters such as BES inspections, COMAH compliance, Odour Management and Fly/Mosquito Management.
- Monitoring and improvement of Asset Availability and operability across the site. Overseeing both proactive and reactive operation tasks to ensure the site remains in compliance and is operable. Additionally, through the Elimination of Waste, the performance manager will identify and implement efficiencies across the sites. (Polymer dosing, %DS improvements etc…)
- Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and BioResources Manager, the successful candidate will advise upon a reinvigorated Maintenance Schedule for Mogden STW, with a particular focus on driving performance on PSTs.
- Autonomy in the undertaking of daily site management, particularly concerning contractors.
- Promoting a conversational and communicative safety culture with a ‘Zero Compromise’ approach. This will include data analysis, devising of Safe Systems of Work and leadership on Safety Stand-downs.
- The Performance Manager may have to be flexible in undertaking ad-hoc initiatives and tasks that contribute to the holistic improvement of the site.
What should you bring to the role?
- Proven experience in an operational environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach.
- Passion to work within the Mogden Catchment.
- A proven track record working with and managing contractors.
- A working understanding of Waste-Water Treatment Processes would be beneficial but not essential.
- IOSH Managing Safely Qualification.
- Appointment to issue TWOSAs/eTWOSAs.
- Appointment to issue secondary permits. (Crane, Hot Works, Confined Space preferable)
