An exciting job opportunity has become available for the right candidate to join us as a Community Centre Assistant within our L&Q Foundation team. This is a great role for someone who is customer focused and loves interacting with people.

The Community Centre Assistant is an integral part of the wider Community Asset London Team who look after community centres across a varied geographical area. This role will focus on centres in North and East of London but will be required to provide cover for other centres on an ad hoc basis.

As the Community Centre Assistant you will provide operational support for the day-to-day running of the centres and your key responsibilities will include:



Weekly travel to centres across the portfolio to complete and record Health and Safety compliance checks and building safety for the centre
Using IT systems to report repairs and make bookings
Setting up rooms as per booking requirements such as chairs, tables and technical appliances
Setting up refreshments
General cleaning and maintenance
Providing excellent customer support to users
Opening and closing the building, this can include evenings and weekends as required.


We are looking for someone who has:

A passionate and positive attitude with great customer service skills to deliver customer focused solutions
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Previous caretaking experience or similar working in a customer facing role with knowledge of health and safety compliance
A flexible and positive approach to work with excellent organisational skills
Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft programs and inhouse systems


As you will be required to travel between the centres you will need to have a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle insured for Business Use. You will be entitled to a monthly essential car user (ECU) allowance.
