An exciting opportunity has arisen for apermanent Assistant Service Manager, working within Integrated Local Services. The post is primarily based with the Adults with Learning Disabilities (AWLD) service.
The role is to support the Service Manager in the delivery of the service and deliver against targets in a range of service areas. The postholders will be responsible for line management of administrative staff and day-to-day operations which contribute to a quality and efficient service for patients.We are looking for a highly organised person who is able to prioritise a busy workload in a demanding environment and perform well under pressure.

In the Integrated Local Services Directorate, our services work closely with all inpatient teams at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital, and collaborate closely with social services, mental health services and the voluntary sector. We are a friendly team delivering services to a diverse population of vulnerable adults including adults with learning disabilities, people experiencing homelessness, asylum seekers, refugees, and people who would benefit from tobacco dependence services. The post holder will be based at our East Dulwich site, and expected to regularly work across a number of community sites in Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham.
The post holder will work closely with the Service Manager and Clinical leadership team and the role is within a multidisciplinary team and requires the ability to liaise with all disciplines of staff i.e. Audiologist, SLTs, OTs, PTs, Nurses and administrative colleagues.
The post holder is responsible for tracking service activity through the collation of data for the service using relevant databases and clinical systems, and will provide a high standard of professional and patient focused service to a range of Trust-wide specialties' and will support the function on a day-to day operational basis.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of clinical systems, strong communication skills, attention to details and be proactive to achieve desired outcomes.
