CAM SUPPORTED LIVING CIC
Social Care - Care Support Worker
CAM Supported Living CIC are looking for caring, compassionate individuals who want to make a difference to the lives of others, regardless of experience. We are looking for people who are passionate about caring and also promoting the care sector as a positive career choice and to enhance people’s understanding of what care is about. We want people who wish to share their values of becoming a carer and making a career out of caring.
At CAM Supported Living we provide 24 hour supported living for a number of adults with learning disabilities and for other service users who live at home within a ten-mile radius of Wellingborough. We also support service users to access work and volunteering opportunities in the community.
We are currently looking for bank staff to compliment the team for planned leave or sickness cover and who can cover a shift in a 24-hour period, seven days a week. We also have a number of permanent part-time day shifts available:
• A support worker to cover a 7-hour shift every Monday.
• A support worker to cover an 8-hour shift on a Saturday every 4 weeks.
• Two support workers to cover five half-day shifts per week plus extra shifts in the school holidays.
• The possibility of additional work by means of taking service users on day trips, short breaks and holidays on behalf of Breaks-Away Respite Services (part of CAM Supported Living CIC).
We offer:
• A friendly and relaxed working environment
• 23 days paid holidays plus bank holidays
• Workplace pension (if criteria met)
• Flexible working hours
• Pay for team meeting and supervisions
• A comprehensive induction and ongoing training and support
You will need to be:
• An enthusiastic, committed, caring, team player.
• A car driver with access to a suitable vehicle and hold a valid UK driving licence or equivalent.
• Fun to be around and enjoy adventure.
• Able to work unsociable hours, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
• Able to be flexible to cover sickness and holidays, which may be with different service users.
• Able to support service users to reach their goals and be the best that they can be.
• Ready to support adults with a learning disability to live as independently as possible.
• Able to work in their home or out in the community.
• Prepared to work by yourself, with one or two service users.
• Able to value our person-centred approach to supported living.
We are an equal opportunities employer and we will not discriminate any candidate based on a protected characteristic or political belief providing such characteristics or beliefs do not affect the care of, or cause distress to a service user under the care of CAM Supported Living CIC (not withstanding reasonable adjustments). We welcome applications from all genders, although some clients may prefer ‘female’ carers for personal care needs.
To apply for any of these roles please phone or email for an application pack. CV’s will not be accepted unless accompanied by an application form.
Please contact Charlene Skerritt 07841 122433 or Martin Reddy 07546 871777 or email info@camsupportedliving.com.
