Job Description: Graduate/Associate Energy & Technical Solutions Manager



Location: The position is a hybrid role that will require remote working and site-based works as appropriate to support our customers property estates.



We are seeking highly qualified graduates who show a passion for energy and carbon reduction. The individuals will be keen to want to make a difference in what they do in their daily roles to drive down carbon. Mitie Energy are leading the FM world in Carbon reduction in the UK, and we want to help and assist our clients with their Carbon journey. Mitie themselves are committed to becoming Carbon neutral by 2025. To support this journey, we now need to develop new talent so they can become over time the next generation who will help us support with our vision over the next 10 to 15yrs. Mitie are a UK Top 50 employer who are proud to build on the foundation stones of diversity and inclusivity. After 12wks we will expect you to have obtained a greater understanding of what's involved in mobilising a major Energy/Carbon reduction contract. Major contracts are measured over multiple years (5+) are complex and varied with clients' sites spread across the UK.

The Role & Responsibilities

-The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following tasks:

-

-Due diligence surveys refresh the data capture sheet.

-BMS health check specification

-Engagement slides for new contracts

-Carry out analysis using half hourly gas and electricity data

-Obtain TM44 surveys read and populate Carbon Conversion Measure (CCM) tracker.

-Free Cooling calculator

-PV desk top analysis

-Set up a suite of CCM standard calculators for the team, compile these from what is currently in use.

-Build a Sankey diagram tool for energy flow.

-Update our energy check lists for each building type

-Standard wording template paragraphs for an energy report

-Site surveys/report writing/ capture of CCMs



Do you have what it takes?



Experience & Skills

Essential experience:

-Educated to at least Degree level in a relevant subject e.g., General Engineering/ Electrical /Building Services/ Energy qualification.

-Understanding of and experience working with energy/carbon data sets.

-Knowledge of IT, Excel skills, Data analysis with an interest in BMS or control would be welcomed but not essential

-Numerate and highly literate.

-Self-starter - experience of independent working and ability to work without close supervision

-Confident and calm - Able to project a degree of confidence and resilience under pressure.



The successful candidate will be working at home and at client sites. The role will mainly be remote.
