Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Refuse Operators to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection, transportation, and disposal of waste and recyclable materials. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and health of the community.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently on designated routes.
• Collect and load waste and recyclable materials from residential and commercial properties.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste at designated facilities.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the public.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and courteously.
• Maintain accurate records of collections and vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Class 2 licence Desirable)
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in waste management or a related field is a plus.
