Behaviour Specialist Teacher

1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

2. Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support student progress.

3. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs.

4. Collaborate with other professionals, parents, and carers to ensure the holistic development of students.

5. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and reporting on achievements and areas for improvement.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Specialism or experience in SEN teaching

- Knowledge of SEN Code of Practise and relevant legislation

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in SEN settings

- Strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support SEN students

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements

- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs

- Training in behaviour management techniques

- Work in a school setting with SEN students

- Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend work for meetings or events

- Collaborative work with other professionals and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
