Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £420 to £460 per week
Contract: Temporary to Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 to 3:30pm)
Are you a sports graduate / sports coach looking for a career in education?
Are you passionate about working with and inspiring young people?
Are you looking to gain experience in education before commencing on to a PGCE with the aim of starting a career as a Physical Education teacher?
Teaching personnel are currently working with a specialsit provision school in the Wolverhampton area. We are looking for a couple of candidates with a sporting background to work as Full-Time teaching assistants in this school (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm). This role involves working 1:1 with children with Social Emotional Mental Health needs. The school caters for students aged 11 - 16 and are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is keen to inspire young learners by providing and supporting high quality teaching and enjoyable lessons, and to encourage them to make positive life choices. Ideally you will have some recent experience working within a school setting and be able to work with children with challenging behaviour.
You will have a desire for working with vulnerable young people and be looking to make a real difference. This would be a full-time role and would be perfect for somebody that is looking to be a Physical Education Teacher in the future, wants to gain experience working with children or is looking for a career in the sports/education sector.
This Role Would Involve
- Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons
- Organising and collecting resources for the lessons
- Being a positive role model to inspire and encourage the child to make positive life choices and behaviours
- Use enthusiasm to encourage children to become involved in lessons

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
