Work Week Manager
We’re currently recruiting for a Work Week Manager to drive improvements in our department and the work we influence on the station. You’ll be responsible for coordinating Station activities and resources to ensure the prioritisation and completion of work is driven by a clear vision of operational focus, maximising plant availability, eliminating operator distractions, workarounds and burdens. Outside of the workweek, the role requires key engagement with the management of work process to prepare effectively and deliver a quality plan, maintaining a risk neutral position.
Pay, benefits and culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069
- £84,892, although we will be looking to appoint between £40,069
- £71,779, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.At EDF, everyone’s welcome. What you’ll be doing
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that compliance, Site Licence and regulatory requirements are fulfilled
- Chairing key Work Management meetings
- Continuously challenging station work management standards in order to drive improvement
- Utilising OPEX to improve effectiveness of cycle plans and Management of Work Processes
- Managing station resources to ensure priorities are achieved
- Working with the various Team Leaders to ensure delivery of the agreed work week plan
- Managing and influencing key stakeholders.
Who you are
As a minimum, you’ll be educated to HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and holding a relevant Degree may be an advantage. Also key is a thorough knowledge of nuclear power plant, or an industrial background with experience in the areas of Maintenance and Operations together with awareness of Maintenance and Operational constraints. You should demonstrate enthusiasm, drive, a ‘can-do’ attitude and have the ability to facilitate change. Good interpersonal skills are also very important, with an ability to diffuse conflict and encourage team working between the various contributors.
