Revenues Team Leader (2 posts available)
Starting salary between £ 28536 and £ 34629 per annum
Based at Kings Court Council Offices, King’s Lynn
If you have excellent working and technical knowledge of all aspects of council tax and business rates billing, collection and recovery along with supervisory experience we have the perfect post for you.
As one of the two team leaders, you will be responsible for the staff, workload and performance of the Revenues Team, managing and motivating staff to their best performance levels and supporting their personal and professional development.
You will also provide technical information and opinion on council tax and business rates matters and manage the external enforcement agents. In addition, you will manage the ad-hoc system jobs including bill extracts, direct debit runs and recovery notice production.
You will hold the IRRV Technician qualification (or other comparable technical qualification) with significant experience in a Revenues or Benefits environment including experience using jobs on the core Civica (OpenRevenues) Revenues and Benefits system. With excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, you will be able to deal with a wide range of customers.
You will have or be working towards a management qualification with an understanding of management and motivation tools and techniques and able to apply this to staff. You will also have experience of target-based appraisal systems and appraising staff performance.
