Summary

About us
Assume responsibility of the CIW Registered Manager role at Southway care home for older people / people living with dementia and ensure the service delivery meets all regulatory requirements and minimum standards.
Arrange and manage services in compliance with all relevant legislation, national and local performance frameworks and standards and assist in the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures, systems, and processes that conform with local and National regulatory requirements.
To work in partnership with all members of the residential management team and work in accordance with the ‘across homes’ residential management rota, which includes covering management responsibility for other homes and working some evenings, part nights and weekends.
To ensure the highest standard of person-centred and outcome-based care is provided and create resident personal delivery plans and risk assessments and ensure they are regularly reviewed and responsive to assessed need.
To create and maintain the staffing rota systems for care, catering, and domestic staff necessary for the efficient running of the home, including evenings, nights, and weekends
To recruit, select, manage, and monitor the work of the staff group and agency staff in line with Service, Departmental, Corporate, and statutory requirements, and to assist staff in their personal development.






About the role
Pay Details: Grade 10, SCP 36 - 39 £44,428 - £47,420 p.a.

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week. Working to a 4 week rota that includes weekend work for which an enhancement will be paid. To ensure consistency of service there is an expectation to work some of the contracted hours during an occasional part /nightshift.

Main Place of Work: Southway, Cowbridge

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate a committed staff group in providing a quality service to older people who reside in Southway. You will need to have a relevant professional qualification, experience in caring for older people and people living with a dementia and successful experience in managing social care or nursing care services.



About you
You will need:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in adult social care or nursing home management
QCF level 5 management social care or Level 4 and registered to work toward level 5
Registered with Care Council for Wales or committed to registering within 3 months of appointment
