Interim Business Analyst - Housing

Pay Rate: £25.48 per hour PAYE
37 Monday to Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 3 months
City: HIGHBURY EAST, LONDON
Predominately working from home with occasional office presence
Flexible on sector experience, doesn't have to be housing.
Role is supporting the change delivery lead in building up the business case and project initiation. Ideal candidate will have standard project management experience. Focusing on fire doors projects, making sure correct policies and processes in place that all fire doors across the communities are up to standard, their procurement and finance of.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather, validate and document business requirements.
Support the change delivery lead in building up the business case and project initiation, focusing on changes in regulations and policies for example, rent reform and how tenancies and rent are managed. Fire doors projects, making sure correct policies and processes in place and that all fire doors across the communities are up to standard. New telephony system and projects associated with implementing this. Documenting existing process flows.
Facilitate workshops to define business issues and gather requirements.
Capture and record workshop outputs including process maps, requirements, risks, issues, assumptions and benefits.
Support the prioritisation of business requirements using analytical, quantitative and qualitative techniques.
Produce ISO 9001 standard work instructions (SOP).
Develop business process maps and associated documentation and confirm how these will be maintained following approval, including user acceptance criteria and standard operating procedures.
Present workshop findings to key stakeholders.
Manage business analysis work-packages as defined by business stakeholders.
Work with the business to define solutions to support business improvement, including benefit analysis, options appraisals and business cases.

Qualifications:
BCS International Diploma or APM (Business Analyst) qualification or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge:
Demonstrate an understanding and interest in the business and a demonstrable commitment to customer service.
Process mapping and understanding of/production of Standard Operating Procedures.
Experience:
Standard project management experience.
Experience and knowledge of business analysis within a large organisation.
Experience of improvement work, with good understanding of technical documents and business rules, requirements gathering, definition and validation – including data requirements, user acceptance and MoSCoW.
Experience of defining customer or employee journeys and experience requirements.
Demonstrable experience of understanding and interpreting broad business requirements to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
Skills & Abilities:
Adaptable skill set with exceptional organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities.
Persuasive presenter, with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
Highly developed communication (both written and verbal) and people skills.
Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills with the proven ability to influence senior stakeholders with differing priorities.
Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and provide updates to stakeholders on deployment progress, risks, issues, escalations and progress against targets.
Ability to work independently, pro-actively and with confidence to make clear decisions and apply sound judgement.
Ability to produce high quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to solve complex problems, while maintaining creativity to generate flexible solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Confidence in making judgements effectively and recommendations on the basis of evidence and analysis with experience of translating business requirements into project scopes.
