Contract Type: Agency Supply
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available (08:30 - 15:30)
Salary: £110 - £130 per day
About the Role:
As an agency representing dedicated and skilled Qualified SEN Teachers, we are thrilled to offer opportunities at a school in Meir. SEN Teachers play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that students with diverse learning requirements receive the necessary support to achieve their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Support: Work in the classroom to help children and young people learn appropriate social skills and assist them with their academic work.
  • Lesson Planning: Create individualized lesson plans for each student based on their abilities and unique needs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and parents, to provide holistic support.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and responsive to the varying needs of pupils, celebrating their achievements and progress.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
  • Empathy: Approach each student with patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team and with students.
  • Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.


Pupil Ages and Needs:
The school caters to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, emotional and behavioural disorders, and learning disabilities or difficulties. As a qualified SEN teacher, you will play a vital role in helping these students thrive academically and personally.
