JOB TITLE: Deputy Home Manager (CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL)
SALARY: £28,080 per annum
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Registered Manager
LOCATION: Leicester
LIAISES WITH: Senior Management Team, Registered Manager, Care Staff, and all team members in this and other teams across the organisation, young people, families/carers, external providers, partnership organisations, local residents and regulatory bodies.
Job Summary
To work with the Senior Management Team and Registered Manager to promote the values and ethos in the management of all aspects of the Children’s Home, taking responsibility for the implementation of all young people’s placements to support their emotional and mental wellbeing. To support the manager in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of standards across the home, ensuring exceptional levels of care for all young people and ongoing compliance with regulatory frameworks. To establish and maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team, providing supervision and development of the residential care staff.
The Home will provide assessment and medium to long-term placements for young people with emotional and behavioral needs. Therefore, the deputy manager will be required to support the registered manager to oversee the placements, working with internal care staff, healthcare professionals (e.g. psychologists and occupation therapists) and educational staff, as well as external partner agencies to achieve the needs and targets of the individual young people.
The Deputy Manager will also be required to oversee the operations of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.

Candidates Must:
• Hold a Level 3 in children and Young people
• Have a minimum of 4 years’ residential experience within the children’s home sector
• A minimum of 2 years management experience in the children’s home sector
• Experience in applying policies and procedures relating to the care of young peop0le and the management of services.
• Experience of current Ofsted inspection Framework
• Inter – agency working
