ND SERVICES Ltd is a long-established, successful, growing business operating from its purpose-built site at Membury, just off the M4. ND Services provides first class workshop facilities for car and commercial vehicle repair and servicing as well as industry leading roadside breakdown and recovery services across Wiltshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

Reason for Hiring:

Due to our ambitious business plans and growth an opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hard-working individual to join our commercial workshop team.

We run a diverse fleet of around 30 recovery vehicles of which you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of, along with our general retail and account customers vehicles .

Role overview:

We are seeking a COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TECHNICIAN to perform maintenance services as well as many varied and complex repairs to our fleet of recovery vehicles.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out routine maintenance such as DOT inspections and pre MOT inspections as well as vehicle repairs and diagnosing faults.

If variety is something you look for in a job, then we have you covered as our fleet consists of a wide array of vehicles from vans and 4x4’s right through to 4 axle heavy recovery trucks and low loaders. You can also expect to work on horseboxes, tractor units, tankers and vans.

You will need to be able to use your mechanical abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot problems whilst demonstrating an understanding that every vehicle is unique and requires careful time and effort to ensure that repairs are completed to the highest standards.

This is a full time position Monday – Friday starting at 8am and finishing at 17:00

The role’s Key Responsibilities are:

- Undertake diagnostic activities to identify causes and solutions for our fleet and customers vehicle issues.
- Liaising with drivers to obtain an understanding of vehicle defects
- Carrying out DOT’s as well as pre MOT inspections and repairs.
- Mentoring and provide guidance to apprentice technicians, where applicable.
- Ensuring all your job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
What we need from you:

- Level 3 Qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics OR extensive experience within roll.
- Experience in the repair and maintenance of HGV vehicles within the commercial vehicle industry.
- Full UK Driving licence (HGV licence would be advantageous).
- Positive “can do” attitude.
