Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse looking to work in an outstanding rated Trust? Rowan Ward, Yeatman Hospital, Sherborne are looking for either an experienced or newly qualified nurse to join our supportive team.
As a Staff Nurse you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team in a stroke/ neuro ward for the local and wider community. Recently there has been significant investment to develop Dorset stroke services including development with our stroke rehabilitation beds based on Rowan ward.
In addition, we achieved a nationally recognised accreditation in theGold Standard Frameworkaward for end-of-life care to become the first-ever ‘Hospital Ward of the Year’ for end-of-life care.

The Staff Nurse post is a full-time role, we would be flexible and accept part time applications with a minimum of 15 hours.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
To provide a high quality person centred approach to care delivery which always considers people’s safety, privacy and dignity.
To undertake assessment of patients / service users care needs, and develop programmes of care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.To provide advice to patients/ service users and carers regarding their care.
To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.
