Summary

Approx 30K package - Live-in or Live-out available, weekly veg box, holiday pay. Live-in option includes self-contained accommodation and all bills.

We are looking for a Harvest Manager to join our team at Baddaford Farm.To give the right candidate the best possible start they'll work side-by-side with our current HM (the glorious Maddie) for the first few months whilst they learn the ropes.
We would like the Harvest Manager to be onboard as soon as possible.
Baddaford is an organic farm, home of Guy & Geetie Singh-Watson & Baddaford Farm Collective in South Devon.The farm covers 154-acres, with approx 85 acres dedicated to growing field scale veg & fruit crops sold to Riverford wholesale/Box scheme.
Our Crops include Strawberries, Peas, Globe Artichokes, Rhubarb, Squash, PSB, Raspberry Blackberry, Beans, Cardoons & new trials of Cucumber/Nettle/Pineberry strawberry.
Your main role will be to work alongside our current HM, organising the harvest of our crops, assessing crop forecasts & yields, communicating with seasonal workers, corresponding with Riverford on orders/quality. Opportunity to learn the full picture of organic field scale farming whilst being immersed in a community of fellow growers and land based businesses.
We are open to applications from couples.
Working Hours:
The role is F/T & permanent, with the option to live at the farm (self-contained uber gorgeous unit) + a weekly veg-box.
Personal Specification:
The ideal candidate will have experience of harvesting on this/a similar kind of scale, be organised, efficient and possess excellent quality control standards. Furthermore, they'll need to be good at keeping records, have good communication skills & be able to manage regular & seasonal pickers throughout all picking seasons.
Own transport required. Must having full UK driving licence & be legally allowed to work in the UK Desirable: Previous work in a management/supervisory role. An understanding of health & safety requirements a bonus, but training can be provided.
