HLTA opportunities for Secondary Schools in Milton Keynes from September 2024.

Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading education staffing supplier and we are currently sourcing Teaching Assistants for a number of support staff opportunities in Secondary Schools for the Bedfordshire area from September 2024.

We are currently recruiting for a HLTA's seeking their next opportunities and do not mind being on flexible contracts, with the opportunities to be taken on permanently if both parties are happy after 12-16 weeks.

As a HLTA, you could:
-
• Preparing classrooms for lessons, including setting up televisions for video presentations and sourcing books and handouts for students
• Teaching classes unassisted, especially when Teachers are ill or on leave
• Planning and delivering learning and enrichment activities, either with Teachers or independently
• Working with small groups of students or individuals needing special attention
• Developing specialist curricula in areas of interest
• Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, parents and Carers
• Consoling students who are unwell, injured or upset
• Supervising student groups on excursions and at sporting events

Would you be the right fit?
- Previous experience in a school is advantageous
- Friendly, confident and calm attitude
- Previous experience working with children or young adults
- Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds
- An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
- Be passionate about helping students to succeed in academically, emotionally, socially
- Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (Year 7 to Year 11)
- You will be dedicated to ensure that all children achieve their very best
- Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of the school
