At Brooklands Hospital we are committed to providing the best standard of care and experience for individuals whilst in an inpatient setting, supporting them to gain skills to reach their potential and maintain a good quality of life.

This post is required to support clinical leadership on the ward, with a focus on the safety and quality aspects of Patient care. The role is critical to the timely management of incidents, supporting the MDT and driving the patients input to co-produced services. This role is critical to our retention strategy, ensuring the ward team benefits from visible clinical support/direction and it enables a firm career structure for succession planning.

The post works alongside the ward manager, in a full MDT with a support network of clinical leads from our other wards.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Clinical Lead for the Janet Shaw Clinic , a Medium Secure Unit for up to 15 patients with forensic and complex trauma histories. This is interesting, at times challenging, but very rewarding work.

The post holder will have lead clinical responsibility for all aspects of the nursing care planning process including pre-admission, developing specialist programmes of care, from pre-admission to discharge.

The post holder will be responsible for the clinical development and clinical supervision of all nursing staff within a secure services at Brooklands

The post holder will provide cover for the Clinic Ward Manager as required.
