Falla Hill Primary is a non-denominational school serving the village of Fauldhouse, West Lothian. The school, which was built in 1926, extended in 1975, with further rooms created in 2009 provides spacious accommodation for our pupils and staff.
Our current school roll is 232 and comprises of eight classes and a nursery class which has morning places, afternoon places and full day provision. This is supported class teachers, early years’officer, nursery nurses and pupil support workers. The senior management team consists of the Head Teacher and Principal teacher. The school is very well supported with admin, clerical, kitchen, cleaning and janitorial staff.
The Active Schools Coordinator for our cluster provides a wide range of sporting events for our pupils throughout the year. The majority of our pupils transfer to Whitburn Academy. Our school has strong links with the academy and other schools in the cluster. Falla Hill is central to the village of Fauldhouse and as such the school has strong partnerships within the local community. The school has a very committed staff, who work collaboratively with all stakeholders, thus enhancing our capacity to deliver high quality learning and teaching.

The Clerical Assistant role will have a clear focus on providing direct support to the Head Teacher. The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of clerical functions and will follow West Lothian Council policies and procedures in order to support the effective day to day running of the school, working closely in partnership with staff, parents and learners.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
