At New Vision Bradford we are passionate about supporting individuals to reduce their substance use and live happier, healthier lives. We support people with multiple disadvantages, including substance misuse & mental health, as well as those who find themselves in the criminal justice system. Our services enable the people we support to improve their health, well-being and employability.

About the role...
As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a highly rewarding sector with some truly inspirational service users and colleagues. Healthcare Assistant reports to our Lead Nurse and is responsible for supporting and assisting in the provision of a range of healthcare interventions.

You will be working across our 3 sites in Bradford and Keighley.

Day-to-day duties include:
Supporting the clinical team with healthcare assessments and treatments
Undertaking clinical supervisions
Providing harm reduction support, information and advice to individuals in relation to substance misuse.
Detoxification assessments and Health Assessments.
Monitoring and facilitation of community detoxifications.
BBV screening and immunisations.
Referral into other services to meet the health and well-being needs of people who use our service.
Supporting student nurses.
Contributions to training and pathway development within the service.

The salary advertised above demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band alongside our excellent benefits.
