Mechanical Hardware Design Engineer
Working with a global manufacturing company within their technical operations based in Gillingham, as Mechanical Hardware Design Engineer, you will be based within the electronics engineering team to develop mechanical designs which fulfil customer and legislative requirements in a high-quality, high-volume manufacturing environment.
The role
- Develop new mechanical designs and evaluate customer and internal requirements and identify gaps to current products
- Prepare product designs to meet internal and customer requirements
- Create and maintain Mechanical DFMEA
- Apply BOD, BOP and defined engineering standards procedures and methodologies to execute project activities
- Release design documentation
- Support Validation teams during design validation and process validation phases
About you
You will ideally possess experience of automotive electronics hardware development, be Masters educated in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent and possess a keen eye for detail and analytical skills. Knowledge of MS Office, CAD programs (NX, SolidWorks) simulation tools (ANSYS Stress and Thermal analysis) is essential.
