An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our wonderful Waste Portering Team to work in our efficient and high quality service here at Broomfield Hospital.

This vital post will be part of a team of staff undertaking a number of different roles which include transportation of waste and end of life equipment around the site to facilitate the smooth running of the clinical departments and the hospital.

The job is physical in nature to include the transportation of waste internally and externally. This role requires good communication skills. You will need to have the ability to respond to emergency calls in a calm and professional manner.

The role available is a full time post that will be a variety of shifts including weekends, covering the department on the Annual Leave/Sickness Line.

Previous experience of working in a Portering/Waste role within a hospital environment would be an advantage but not essential.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, provide an effective, timely delivery and collection service which supports all aspects of clinical and non-clinical services. These include but are not limited to:

- Provide assistance on site to members of the public.
- Moving all types of waste, broken furniture and end of life equipment
- Attending ad hoc jobs.
