Grounds Maintenance Operative
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
Work Base: Ansa Environmental, West Park, Macclesfield
Grade 4 - £23,500-£23,893 (pay award pending)
We are currently recruiting a Grounds Maintenance operative to complement our existing team. We are looking for somebody who will be committed to providing effective and high level services in a courteous and professional manner.
The role of Grounds Operative involves the completion a range of activities, including but not limited to; Grass Cutting, maintenance of hard standing areas, shrub maintenance, hedge maintenance in residential areas and public open spaces.
• The successful applicant will need to have:
• Experience of operating grounds maintenance equipment and machinery, tractors and ancillary equipment, ride-on mowers, hedge cutters, blowers, strimmer’s
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Customer service, tact and diplomacy skills in order to deal with customers and clients
• Literacy and numeracy skills along with the ability to use technology particularly a smart phone to take photographs, record tasks.
• The successful applicant will hold or be willing to work towards NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides (PA1 and PA6).
• The role involves driving a 3.5 tonne transit tipper therefore applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Ability to tow a trailer
You will be required to work in line with the Employee Code of Conduct and work as part of a team. The need to work in a safe manner is paramount and therefore an understanding of relevant safe working practices is required.
