Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is delighted to advertisesubstantive Consultant Radiologist posts with a specialist interest in Neuroradiologyto join our existing motivated and dynamic team across this large, developing and aspirational Trust. This post is within the Adults’ Radiology Directorate within the Division of Imaging.
Subspecialty
The new consultant will join our team of radiologists in delivering subspecialty MR & CT reporting for MFT, and contributing to relevant MDTs. We currently have 1 dedicated adult Neuro-radiologist in post, and 5 consultant who also contribute to the diagnostic Neuroradiology reporting.
MFT is a large trust with 3 large acute sites, and numerous specialist services. This includes the renowned specialist Royal Manchester Eye Hospital, the regional Cochlear Implant service, the Infectious Disease unit in North Manchester, regional Haematology services (including CAR-T service), Clinical Genetics (including NF1 and NF2 regional & national services), and numerous other tertiary level services as well as busy Acute Medical and Surgical specialties. MFTs hosts and runs the regional Orbital MDT, NF1 and NF2 MDTs.
Specialist Adult Neurosurgical and Spinal services are provided by the neighbouring Salford Royal Hospital, with in-reach Neurology clinical services into the trust but imaging & reporting is provided by MFT. Paediatric Neurosciences services are provided by MFT through our Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, and we have a dedicated Paediatric Neuroradiology delivering this service, however if this is an interest it can be supported within job plan.
This gives us a broad range of interesting services and pathology, including both Acute and Out-patient.
Acute & On-Call Radiology
This comes with 1PA of general Acute and 0.5 PA of On-call.
