About the role

Working in our busy Development Management team you will be providing specialist design and conservation advice on cases for listed buildings, locally listed buildings and infill development or redevelopment in conservation areas. You will bridge the gap between Development Management and Planning Policy by contributing to master planning for strategic sites with a focus on sustainable implementation and delivery. You will lead on providing high quality design advice to support the consideration of major planning applications using specialist urban design expertise.

You will take on active casework on conservation issues, including buildings at risk and enforcement cases and prepare and provide regular updates of conservation area character appraisals and statements. Planning policy preparation for local plans and development briefs and provision of informal promotional and advice work on built environment conservation is also required for this post.

About you
