Summary

About the Role

As Senior Lecturer in Physician Associate Studies you will be required to make a significant contribution to Medical School, contributing to the delivery of our modules and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

You will be required to make a significant contribution to the leadership of our Physician Associate Studies programmes, contributing to the delivery of core teaching and assessment depending on your areas of expertise and experience. The successful candidate will be expected to take on programme leadership initially and, as such, needs to be an experienced academic.

You will be expected to undertake scholarly activity and contribute to the research profile of the department through the activities of one of our Research Units. For those with significant research responsibility, you will be expected to meet the quantitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework

An understanding of GMC regulation of Physician Associates and the new curriculum is essential. Previous experience of teaching and assessment of undergraduate and/or postgraduate Physicians Associates or other health professions students is essential. Health professionals should have current registration with their professional, statutory and regulatory body.

You will hold an established or promising research profile and very good teaching and assessment experience of health professionals students and experience of clinically oriented teaching and understanding of professional regulations.
