Summary

Working Hours:
38.5 hours per week
9.30am - 18.30pm, Monday / Tuesday – 45 minutes unpaid lunch break
9.30am - 18.00pm, Wednesday / Thursday – 45 minutes unpaid lunch break
9.30am - 16.30pm, Friday - 30 minutes unpaid lunch break

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finished Goods Department as support to the Finished Goods Manager and Operations Director.

You will be integral to the success of the team, supporting the Finished Goods Management team with day-to-day tasks to ensure the entire department runs smoothly.

We are looking for someone with great attention to detail, who is proactive and has a keen eye for identifying solutions to continue to improve upon our processes and procedures.

In return, we will support you to further your development. You will learn and develop your technical skills as well as gain further knowledge of the workings of a leading global manufacturer.

If successful, you will complete a three-month probation period.

Job Title: Supply Chain Assistant
Department: Finished Goods
Working Hours: 38.5 hours per week
Location: Ashton Road, Hyde
Responsible To: Operations Director & Finished Goods Manager
Date Reviewed: May 2024

Main Purpose of the Role:
Supporting the Finished Goods department with day-to-day tasks and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
• Collate and analyse KPI’s – for both logistic and manufacturing purposes.
• Data management within the Microsoft ERP system.
• Process internal and external orders.
• Monitor and review inventory levels.
• Issue and assist with stock inventory counts.
• Source new materials/machinery and liaise with suppliers.
• Place purchase requisitions and receive goods in via purchase orders.
• Assist with new product creation and price reviews.
• Provide troubleshooting support within the division.
• Perform various other administrative tasks.

Essential Criteria:
• A recent qualification HNC/HND qualification.
• Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• An awareness of lean manufacturing and kaizen.
• Meticulous and detail orientated.
• Ability to work methodically, and efficiently within deadlines.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Good communication – both verbally and written.
• Teamwork
• Willing to learn and develop new skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
