Summary

At Whittlebury Park we are looking for a passionate Inside Sales Manager to oversee and support our team of talented sales executives to maximise, generate and increase revenue opportunities.

Nestled in hundreds of acres of ancient parkland, Whittlebury offers an award-winning four-star hotel, conference, and training centre. Our facilities include our 3AA Rosette winning Murray’s fine dining restaurant, luxurious spa and 36-hole championship golf course.

Salary: £29,000.00 to £31,000.00

What will you do?

As our Inside Sales Manager, you will:

Ensure all sales enquiries within the team are dealt with within 2 hours in an efficient and friendly manner, ensuring all aspects of company policy relating to contracts, terms and conditions, yield management, payments and targets are met
Identify opportunities to maximise sales and upsell, suggesting and implementing improvements ensuring the team keep up to date with knowledge of our facilities and offerings, building on existing and new relationships to maximise repeat business
Carry out site tours and inspections, looking after clients whilst maintaining the highest possible standards alongside assisting with site visits to the Head of Weddings as required
Monitor and ensure the team are proactive with telephone enquiries whilst monitoring the sales inboxes and delegating workload to the team and managing time effectively
Provide weekly reports updating on the largest enquiries, site visits & prospective business, concentrating on key bookings and need months. Updating the teams and establishing knowledge of our competitor set, rates and inclusions (SWOT analysis) alongside producing sales performance & conversion reports as requested by the C&E Sales Office Manager and/or Commercial Manager/Director
Be responsible for the data entry in the system ensuring all data is relevant and up to standard in order to accurately pass details over to the event planners
Train the sales executive team, providing refresher training as required and lead the newly created telemarketing team, creating weekly reports to support the activities they are working on
Work closely with the Conference and Events Sales Office Manager to convert business and ensure achievement of targets and objectives, working with them to support as needed
Lead on the ‘Your Welcome’ initiative ensuring our customer journey is in line with Whittlebury Parks vision
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have a keen attitude to go beyond expectations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will be experienced in working in a pressurised sales environment whether reactive or proactive, and have excellent problem-solving skills. Your attention to detail will ensure all information is accurately entered into the system showcasing your strong analytical and organizational skills. You will also ideally have experience of working in the hospitality industry.

This list of duties cannot be exhaustive due to the requirements of the hotel industry. Therefore, you may be required from time to time to carry out reasonable tasks as requested by management.
