These are exciting times for our Digital teams in Glasgow and Bolton. We're looking for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our team as a Digital Commercial Underwriter. Reporting into the Trading Team Manager, you'll contribute to delivering team results through effective customer service, building dynamic relationships with a network of national Insurance brokers whilst developing your individual underwriting skills. The Digital Trading Teams service a large number of brokers situated throughout the UK. We’ve an excellent reputation within the UK market and have built strong relationships UK wide. We’ve achieved steady growth year on year and continue our ambitious growth targets through 2024 and beyond.
As a Digital Commercial Underwriter, you'll be providing excellent service and working to targets. We're seeking individuals with a natural ability to build relationships, deal comfortably and confidently with people on-line and over the phone, display excellent service and sales capability and who are not afraid to take on a challenge.

What you’ll be doing:
Deliver planned financial results through the effective underwriting and trading of cases whilst adhering to UW controls
Contribute to the development of colleagues through coaching, training and mentoring
Build effective trading relationships with brokers, through trading activity and being recognised as a positive trading partner
Demonstrate sound technical knowledge, apply underwriting principles, and develop decision making capabilities to generate profitable new business and retain existing business
Establish and develop business relationships with intermediaries to maximise sales and trading opportunities
Follow agreed governance processes and audit controls and demonstrate regulatory principles in dealings with all customers
Provide excellent service and promote the business to both external and internal customers
Work to targets in a fast-paced environment, dealing confidently and accurately with Intermediaries online and by telephone
