Are you looking for a rewarding way to spend your spare time? Are you keen to offer your time for our pupils, ensuring they have a safe journey to/from school? We have the perfect volunteer role for you!
Peninsula East Primary Academy are seeking a Volunteer - Minibus Supervisor to support us in running our minibus service to ensure that all pupils are able to get to and from school each day. We are looking for someone who will be able to:
Help pupils get to and from school from our surrounding village.
Supervise safe travel and supporting the Bus Driver to ensure a pleasant journey to and from school for our pupils.
Create and sustain positive relationships with pupils and discussing their learning at the end of each day.
The successful candidate will need to have a DBS check (this can be provided by the school) and take part in mandatory safeguarding training prior to starting the role.
The working hours will be 8.00am - 9.00am and 3.00pm - 3.45pm, Monday - Friday.
Working with us: Peninsula East Primary Academy is a small 1 form entry primary school in the beautiful village of Allhallows. We have at the core of our ethos the pursuit of the highest standards possible in education and we want to develop our pupils as well-rounded individuals and lifelong learners. We believe in high expectations, high aspirations, high motivation and high achievement for all. Our curriculum is tailored to each child as an individual and our pupils are highly engaged learners.
We use the framework of the International Baccalaureate to deliver the National Curriculum and we are now an official IB World school. As part of this, we are able to link with other IB schools within the UK and abroad. We focus on developing the learner profile attributes, which encompass the skills needed to ensure our children become confident and successful global citizens. We aim to build a community underpinned by international mindfulness, traditional values and social justice in which all members are equally valued. We are committed to ensuring the very best for our children in order for them to play a significant part in society and for them to be ready for secondary school and beyond.
We work closely within our community, having developed links with Haven holiday park, Slough Fort and Allhallows Church. We are also lucky to have extensive outdoor grounds as well as a Nursery provision. We are proud of our digital strategy with all of our children in Key stage 2 having access to a one to one device to further enhance their learning experiences.
