My client is a Steel Stockholder & Processor, they are actively looking to recruit a proven and commercially driven Managing Director.
Relevant Experience: -
Experience of senior management position with profit and loss responsibility.
ideally operating as a Managing Director or General Manager.
Working in a metal processing or manufacturing industry.
Experience of development and implementation of business strategies.
Proven track record of delivering growth.
Setting and controlling budgets.
Experience of managing a sales team – setting targets and driving performance.
Managing customer and supplier relationships.
Experience of negotiating with customers and suppliers, ideally with large
corporate organisations.
An understanding of managing Health & Safety regulations
An understanding of manufacturing operations.
Qualifications/ Training
Formal management training qualifications.
Special Knowledge
Steel Industry is desirable, not essential.
Disposition/ Attitude
Shows clear integrity.
Understanding of how to develop and maintain high quality service.
High emotional intelligence being able to listen to divergent ideas.
