Crynodeb

During your internship you will develop an understanding of the main responsibilities of our Frontline Operations and Business Support teams. The team provide support to the many landscaping contracts across Scotland. You will be dealing with a varied number of tasks from raising purchase orders and visits on our SAFE operating system and dealing with reactive tasks and general business support. You will also spend some time out on site and contracts with our frontline team and managers. You will be working with:

· Head of Operations

· Business Support Team

· Frontline Operations Team

· Technical Services Team

There will be opportunities to get an oversight of the whole company and meet some of our senior managers through calls, meetings and general engagement.

We are looking for someone who is:

· Motivated and enthusiastic to learn more about working at Mitie

· Is committed to developing their team working skills

· Is looking for a future role in the facility management or landscaping sector

· Has potential to be a great communicator but is keen to learn and develop

Although you do not need to be studying related subjects or have an existing interest in this sector, we do have some future careers opportunities at Mitie and you would learn more about these on the internship.

You will primarily be based at our main office at Duchess Road, Rutherglen for the majority of your internship, but you will also spend some time out on customer sites and with our management and frontline teams.

Rutherglen is an open plan office in a building that is shared with other Mitie teams across our wide range of services.

Mitie puts safety at the forefront of everything we do, please ensure whilst in Rutherglen or indeed out on site that any safety signage or site rules are followed and adhered to. PPE should be worn if applicable.

We have a casual dress policy which means people can wear things like jeans, t-shirts, jumpers but we ask people not to wear sports clothing or clothing with rips. We will look to issue you with some Mitie corporate clothing at the start of your internship. We have a canteen area and a café so you can buy lunch, or there are areas to heat up anything you bring. Please note we have a very robust on-boarding policy with lots of checks to do and forms to fill in. Please complete these asap and ask if you are unsure.
