Summary
Mpeople is the Council’s current approach to redeployment, facilitating the effective movement of colleagues to alternative roles within the organisation.
We have recently reviewed our approach and the successful candidate will support the organisation through a period of development and change to embed an improved, positive, strengths-based process. This new approach aims to ensure stakeholder support and engagement, that employees feel their skills, career preferences and needs are met and the delivery of the efficient placement of employees into alternative roles that utilise their individual skills and experience.
The post holder will support employees through the various stages of the process; identifying suitable roles and guiding employees through the application and interview process. You will work collaboratively with hiring managers to facilitate effective and appropriate appointments ensuring that each employee’s individual needs are met, including relevant equality considerations and any adaptations and reasonable adjustments.
The successful candidate will need to be an excellent communicator, with both written and verbal skills. You will need the ability to advocate for employees and to provide constructive challenge when necessary. The successful candidate will have the confidence and determination to ensure employees are supported and are given every opportunity to move to, and thrive within, an alternative position.
Organisation and planning skills are essential, with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines and a broad caseload.
You will be joining a small, dedicated team who are specifically focused on redeployment. Previous experience of internal recruitment or career coaching would be beneficial and sound knowledge of recruitment practice and associated employment law.
