Support Worker/Health Care Assistant - Neuro Rehab
Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker/Health Care Assistant to join our team at our Neuro Rehab facility. As a Support Worker/Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals undergoing rehabilitation for neurological conditions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists, to provide holistic care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, providing emotional support, helping with rehabilitation activities, and ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of our patients.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals with neurological conditions and who has a strong desire to make a difference in their recovery journey. Responsibilities
Assist patients with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
Support patients in their rehabilitation activities, including exercise programs and mobility practice
Monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and heart rate
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring that patients' nutritional needs are met
Help to create a safe and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring that appropriate infection control measures are followed
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Support Worker/Health Care Assistant, ideally in a neuro rehab setting
Certification in Health and Social Care or a related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Empathy and compassion, with a genuine desire to help others
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
Knowledge of neuro rehab principles and techniques is preferred, but not essential. Training will be provided to successful candidates.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 07:30; 19:30
End Time: 19:45: 07:45
Pay Per Hour: £11.44
