Advanced SEMH Teaching Assistant

We need a motivated, persistent, and compassionate individual to join an exciting school dedicated to supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, aged 8 to 16.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on both the academic and personal growth of young people. The learning environment fosters collaboration, support, and nurture to ensure every child receives the assistance they deserve. You'll be responsible for providing support to pupils with complex SEMH needs and challenging behaviours, ensuring they receive the best possible education and reach their full potential. Working alongside a team of dedicated professionals, you'll deliver tailored support to young people with additional requirements in academic or social development.

Job Role:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- Salary of up to £115 per day
- Supporting SEN Teachers and other professionals in delivering high-quality educational and personal development sessions
- Conducting 1-1, small group, and individual sessions
- Creating interactive and academically enriched learning experiences

Person Specification:
- 1 year of experience supporting individuals with SEMH or other complex SEN difficulties
- 1 year of experience in a classroom-based setting, either SEN or mainstream
- Patience, proactivity, and resilience
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ambition to contribute to positive change in child development
- Willingness to undergo training
