Crynodeb
Tregenna House Nursing Home, in Camborne, are seeking to employ a housekeeper and laundry operative to work full time hours. Full training will be provided and the main areas of role are contained below:
• Ensure front door area is clean, hovered
• Vacuum or mop communal areas i.e. corridors / lounges/dining areas etc.
• Clean bathrooms/toilets/en-suites, including sinks and taps
• Empty and wipe out waste bins.
• Spot clean flooring as requested by Manager/Lead Nurse
• Wipe window sills
• Polish all mirrors
• Dust hand rails and radiators, side tables and ornaments
• Wash lino floors
• Ensure all spillages are attended to immediately
• Assist to shampoo carpets as requested by Manager/Lead Nurse
• Clean all bedrooms as per rota, including all pipe work, radiators and tops of wardrobes, headboards and under the beds.
• Sort laundry into relevant groups where applicable, and process through the washer, drier and iron.
• Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area.
• Return the Homes washing to the linen store cupboard.
• Perform any minor repairs to the residents clothing.
• Any clothes not named should be placed in the appropriate boxes after they have been laundered.
• Ensure the laundry room remains clean and tidy. On a daily basis: wash down washers, driers and laundry bags; clean lint trays/vents and mop floors.
• Use appropriate protective clothing when handling soiled/infected linen.
