Hindu Temple Religious Worker (non-pastoral role)- Saivaite Priest

Our Temple has been functioning for over 12 years and is now wanting a new Hindu priest familiar with Hindu Temple poojas mainly as observed and practiced in the main Temples in Sri Lanka. Main requirements are as follows:
1. Should have been educated 6-10 years in Gurukula institution,
2. Familiar in performing all temple rituals relevant to an occasion,
3. Able to recite appropriate Veda Aagama Mantras as relevant / necessary,
4. In good health and ideally married, though job is bachelor status,
5. Also ideally from a recognised priest lineage, kurukkal, age late 20s to 50s,
6. Good knowledge of Tamil, Sanskrit. Spoken English+ additional south Indian language(s) will be a valuable asset,
7. The job details (Duties, benefits, salary etc. ) to be discussed, at interview,
Taking into consideration the Temple functioning, the priest’s duties will be as follows, at CSSVD.
1. Open the temple by 9am with a mini pooja to the main Deity, having lit all deities oil lamps and adorned them with flowers as appropriate
2. Attend to any devotees’ requests when they attend,
3. Prepare for any additional prayers sponsors bookings for ceremonies and poojahs, such as abishekams, any other devotees special requests, such as special prasadams for specific functions etc.
4. Conduct Mid-day poojahs at noon, to all deities as appropriate and serve deity prasadams,
5. Temple opens at 5pm and serve any devotees as required and necessary. Conduct evening poojah at 7pm. Prepare the temple for closing from 8.45pm removing all flowers & decors.
6. The deities need to be kept clean by washing once to twice per week. So must the oil lamps used for deities. Priests are responsible for all preparatory work and completion for deities poojahs, special sponsor request.
7. The priests are responsible for operation, maintenance and safeguarding of their kitchen (Madapalli), All requests for goods for poojah and other temple requirements to be notified to Temple committee member responsible for such tasks, with reasonable notice please.
8. Any clarifications of tasks please contact trustee nominated to look after welfare of priests.
9. The priest is scheduled to work 40 Hours per week over six days, consisting of four full days and two half days with a one day off in each week:
