Technical Specialist (Mechanical Engineer/Manufacturing/Reliability)

Newcastle Upon Tyne

Circa £42,000 DOE + Profit related Bonus + Car allowance £720 per month + 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension 3.5% employee and 7% employer.

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Technical specialist required for a Global international manufacturer, offering a role with great benefits, variety, and stability.

The successful Technical Specialist will be a qualified mechanical engineer, industrial chemist, application engineer or from a similar role. Previous experience within at least one of the following sectors is required; metalworking, oil and gas, sustainable energy, manufacturing and processing industries.

The Technical Specialist Role:

• Applying technically advanced products into specialised markets, supporting the sales of specialist products and solutions, providing higher efficiency, improves reliability, and gives security to the customer/supplier relationship.
• Managing products from concept design to product or solution offering, with customer technical support.
• This is a customer-facing technical role providing first-class technical engineering and product support.
• Providing support in Asset reliability and condition monitoring.
• This role would involve working closely with the Industrial team comprising of Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Research & Development.

The Successful Technical Specialist:

• You will be a qualified mechanical engineer, industrial chemist, application engineer or from a similar role.
• Previous experience within at least one of the following sectors; metalworking, oil and gas, sustainable energy, manufacturing and processing industries.
• Previous experience in a customer facing engineering role will be highly advantageous.
