The role of the Reprographics Operative is responsible for the operation of all reprographic equipment and to provide an efficient reprographic service, scheduling and prioritising job requests.
The post holder will be responsible for the successful provision and delivery of Reprographic support services to meet the needs of the customer at HMS Collingwood and HMS Sultan.
Main Duties
-Produce printed or electronic documents by means of digital printing or document scanning.
-Produce finished documents to the customer's specifications as instructed on the Job Sheet including document collation, paper-folding, guillotining, stapling, bookmaking, binding and laminating.
-Discuss jobs with the customer to ensure work is completed to the required standard and on time.
-Operate and undertake general maintenance of reprographic equipment i.e., change toner, clear paper jams, etc.
-Carry out inventory checks and maintain stock control, ordering paper stock, inks and consumables.
-Collate and maintain a spreadsheet of the monthly output, reporting figures to Line Manager.
-Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with current Health and Safety Regulations, Copyright and the General Data Protection Regulations.
-Transport as required, publications requested between local sites using company vehicle - so must be able to drive and capable of light manual handling tasks.
-Undertake any additional tasks as determined by the Line Manager.

-The successful candidate will be well-organised, precise, confident with credible communication skills readily able and willing to contribute at all levels. In addition, the individual will be versatile, intuitive, and professional with good judgement and absolute integrity. Pro-active and persuasive when required and responsive to changing needs of the business and demands of the customer, while remaining calm under pressure and self-motivated, the incumbent will be reliable and well presented, giving a positive image of MITIE company values. In addition, the following is needed:
-Excellent organisational skills, with strong customer service skills and experience of working to tight deadlines.
-Suitable Driving Licence - minimum of Cat B to drive car, small van.
-A good understanding of reprographics technology.
-A strong team player and able to use own initiative to problem solve.
-Credible verbal and written communicator with the ability to develop close working relationships.
-IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications and the ability to learn new software systems.
-Ability to manage short notice changes to requirements and deadlines.
-Good standard of education.
Additional Information
MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
Proof of right to work in UK is essential.
The Contract operates a 21-hour working week between the hours of 08.00 to 16.00, between Tue, Wed, Thu - but may be negotiable and flexible to suit both individual and contract requirement.
Required to wear approved company work wear.
