Summary
Connect Appointments has exciting opportunities for a Production/Yard Operator in the Ayr area!
Pay rates: £11.44 per hour
Schedule: 5 days over 7, hours 8am to 4:30pm
As a Production/Yard Operator, you will work in hide preparation and in the yard on a rotational basis. You will be working in an environment where cattle are slaughtered, and you will be working with animal carcasses. Therefore, you must be comfortable and ready to work in this type of environment.
As a Production/Yard Operator, you will perform different duties with hide and in the yard.
Hide duties:
- Transferring hides from slaughter hall to hide shed
- Preparing and storing the hides to specifications
- Curing hides
- Preparing and dispatching hide orders
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork is maintained and accurate
Yard duties:
- Transferring innards/entrails from slaughter hall to relevant waste areas
- Supporting with deliveries and stock exchange
- Loading and unloading materials/deliveries
