Summary
POSITION: MACHINE OPERATIVE - HINGE JOINT
SHIFT: 06:00 - 14:00, Monday to Friday
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week
DURATION: Temp - Permanent
LOCATION: Finedon Road Industrial Estate, Wellingborough
SALARY: £13.00
My client is one of the UK's premier manufacturers of steel wire fencing and related products. They have a strong network of customers both in the UK and overseas ensuring continued availability of quality wire fencing products supported by excellent team of workers.
The client’s product range includes stock fencing, sheep netting/fencing, lamb fencing, horse fencing, barbed wire, chain link fencing, line wires and staples, hexagonal wire netting and the stronger, safer, and more versatile Fencing.
Prior knowledge of the industry would be an advantage but is not essential, as full on the job training will be given.
Setting and operating the Hinge machine
Working to customer specifications
Ability to use a variety of hand tools
Some repetitive lifting
To work as part of a team, supporting and assisting others, flexible in different areas
Previous experience working within an engineering/manufacturing environment
Must have previous machine operative experience (Setting & Operating a machine)
A keen eye for detail
Methodical approach to new tasks.
Capacity to follow written and verbal instructions.
Punctual and reliable, flexible approach to covering holidays and other shifts on short notice
Can use Vernier calipers and micrometer measuring equipment.
Ability to complete administration accurately including use of good numeracy skills.
