Chartered Structural Design Engineer
Position: Senior Principal Engineer
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

We are a dynamic engineering firm working on a wide range of projects, from high-end houses worth £5 million to large housing developments, commercial, and retail projects. Our projects are capped at 18 meters or 7 storeys due to PI constraints. Our diverse clientele includes local companies and prominent names like Howdens, for whom we handle structural assessments, new builds, extensions, and more.
The Role:
We are seeking a Chartered Structural Design Engineer (CEng) to join our team as a Senior Principal Engineer. This full-time role is ideal for someone with leadership experience in structural engineering, looking to head multiple varied projects and potentially move to a director level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 2 engineers and 3 admin staff.
- Oversee and deliver diverse structural engineering projects.
- Detailed design, production of specifications, and schedules.
- Prepare comprehensive reports.
- Financial management of projects.
- Apply Eurocodes and British Standards.
- Utilize structural analysis software.
- Collaborate using BIM and other processes.

Candidate Requirements:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
- Experience of leading a team on Structural Engineering projects
- Undertaking detailed design, production of specifications and schedules
- Undertaking Reports
- Hands on control of the financial management of projects under their control
- Experience in Eurocodes and British Standards
- Working knowledge of Structural analysis software
- An understanding of BIM and collaborative working processes
