Summary

We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Property Maintenance Operative to join the Campus Operations team, within Estates, who offer a reactive and planned maintenance service to University owned properties across all our campuses and sites. This role will likely be predominately based at the Greenlands site, Henley after initial inductions.

You will be supported to learn how to carry out a variety of basic reactive and planned maintenance tasks across a number of trades.
The role holder will assist in the provision an effective and prompt customer focussed, professional and efficient service to the University in accordance with its requirements, aims, objectives and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).

You will be required to complete a 2 year 6 months training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods delivered by Windsor Forest Colleges Group , based in Langley or similar provider. You will complete a Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship which is within the Construction and Built Environment sector and you will complete the Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship standard.

- Educated to GCSE standard (Maths and English Grade 4 or above) or equivalent.
- Experience & knowledge of IT e.g. Microsoft Office applications and Smart devices e.g. iPad
- Ability to communicate messages clearly and accurately on the phone, by email and in person
- Able to demonstrate an aptitude for the skills taught in the Apprenticeship
- Full valid clean driving licence
