Job Purpose

This role is a key member of the Healthcare finance team. The key derivable of the role is to provide and analyse financial information to derive insight and recommendations to drive value added decisions. The job holder will need to have strong commercial acumen as well as excellent reporting experience and systems usage.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Healthcare Retail, Services & Pharmacy teams, which spans a wide range of functions, with all aspects of work.
Oversee the delivery of weekly and monthly reports for Healthcare Private Services
Business partner with the Clinics team to ensure that development opportunities and tenders are financially supported.
Compile and communicate the KPI’s for healthcare.
Support the bonus calculation process, maintaining the inputs, sharing monthly updates with the rewards team, and handling queries as needed.

Responsible for performing month-end processes, producing Clinics P&L and reconciliation of supporting balance sheets.
Help support the development and maintenance of the wages reporting and investment model. Produce and circulate monthly wages reports, handle any queries that may arise as a result.
Support the healthcare services and pharmacy operations team.

Complete any commercial financial projects supporting the healthcare team as the need arises.
The ability to simplify complex financial issues and communicate to finance and non-finance people.
The ability to take responsibility for own workload, and manage time effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiencies.
The confidence to devise and implement process changes.
Present at various meetings

Provide ad-hoc support to wider finance function and Healthcare leadership team.

Participate in projects or carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit.

Internal – Healthcare Leadership team, Regional Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacy Operation team, Healthcare buying teams, Audit, IT, Regional and Area Managers

External – Pharmacy Wholesalers, Audit, suppliers,


Key Health and Safety Responsibilities

Person Specification:

A qualified accountant with a strong commercial background (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Analytically minded with a methodical and logical approach to work

Strong excel and financial modelling skills. An interest in Power BI.
Strong organisational skills with ability to meet strict deadlines.
Interested in the bigger picture, whilst able to produce financial information accurately and on time.
Ability to communicate with both finance and non-financial individuals alike.
Team player with willingness to help others and go above and beyond their formal role
Works well under pressure
Ability to deal with large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy.
Attention to detail.
A willingness to acquire pharmaceutical knowledge is vital.
Must have a proactive approach and willingness to learn new things.
Interested in the bigger picture, whilst able to produce financial information accurately and on time.
Able to make complex things simple.

Motivated to progress within the finance function of a growing business.
Able to manage a variety of stakeholders under tight deadlines.
Ability to identify issues and use initiative to solve problems.
