Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established respiratory team as a permanent Respiratory Nurse Specialist, specialising in Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR). This post is for 30 hours per week and will not normally require weekend working.

The post is based within the wider Thoracic medicine team and includes working predominantly within Bolton One to assess patients and assist with delivery of pulmonary rehabilitation classes.

You will join a dynamic and friendly team of experienced Respiratory Nurse Specialists where no two days are the same. Your role will be to work proactively alongside the respiratory nurses, medical and physiotherapy teams to engage, assess, deliver and evaluate an effective PR service to the eligible patients of Bolton.

PR services across Greater Manchester are expanding to address health inequalities and are undergoing an accreditation process. The successful candidate will be a key member of the PR team and assist with the development of the current service in order to expand the number of sessions delivered weekly and to streamline the referral /assessment processes.



We will offer a relevant training package to our new starter. In return, we expect you to be proactive in your approach to learning and to be willing to work dynamically in order to care for our patients who cope daily with the vast array of respiratory conditions present within our local community.



The Acute Adult Care Division is one of four Clinical Divisions in the Trust that includes Emergency Care, Complex Care and Specialist Medicine.The Division contains the busiest single site Emergency Department in Greater Manchester and has inpatient wards providing acute medicine, rehabilitation and specialist medicine services. It provides a range of specialist out-patient and community services and is committed to providing excellent clinical performance and patient care.
