The Medical Director of North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) is delighted to invite applications for the Medical Director’s Leadership Fellow. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a Junior Doctor to do something completely different and spend a year developing themselves as a leader. The successful candidate will work alongside the Medical Director and other members of the Senior Medical Leadership team to work and lead on NMGH based leadership projects, with a focus on making the NMGH the best place to work as a Junior Doctor in the Northwest.

Main duties of the job
• Improve engagement with Junior Doctors at the organisation
• Help to raise the voice of Junior Doctors in the organisation
• Work towards achieving the goal of North Manchester becoming the best centre for Junior Doctor experience within the region
• Act as a voice for Junior Doctors in organisational decision-making
• Personal development for MDLF leadership and change-management skills
• Provide opportunity for MDLF to undertake post-graduate qualifications
• Play an active role as part of the Junior Doctors Leadership Group (JDLG)
• Contribute and lead on transformation projects that are of interest to the candidate and are aligned with the Trust priorities.
• Work one day per week in a clinical role
